Sign-ups are not open yet. The first gyms are being set up by hand, one at a time, by the person who built it.
Why it is this cheap
Because it does one job. The gym systems that cost four to nine times this also take your members’ money, run your class bookings and open your doors, and you are paying for all three whether you use them or not.
Tap In Book is the sign-in tablet and the reports that come out of it. If your billing works, your booking works and your door works, and the thing that is actually broken is the tablet nobody can type on, then this is the part you are missing and you should not be paying for the rest.
If you do need billing and booking, buy one of the all-in-one systems. We would rather say so than sell you a quarter of what you need.

- Taking your members’ money — no direct debits, no card details, no failed-payment chasing
- Class booking, waiting lists and cancellation windows
- Door entry, fobs, turnstiles and the electrician who fits them
- A salesperson, an onboarding call or a minimum term
The details
Is VAT on top?
No. £19 a month and £190 a year both include VAT, so £19 is what leaves your bank. Most small gyms are not VAT-registered and cannot claim it back, so a price with “+ VAT” after it is a price that is wrong by a fifth for almost everybody we are talking to.
What happens when the free trial ends?
You get 30 days free without giving a card. When it ends, nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden: you can still sign in, look at every member, every plan and every sign-in, and download all of it. What you cannot do is add or change anything, and the tablet at your door stops recording. Subscribe and it all starts working again.
Does it cost more if we have two rooms, or two tablets?
No. One gym is one subscription however many tablets you put on however many doors, and however many of your staff sign in to the office side.
What if we grow from 80 members to 300?
The price does not move. There is no member tier and no usage charge.
Can we stop?
Whenever you like. Monthly rolls on month to month. Before you go, export everything — your members, their plans and every sign-in you have ever recorded — from Settings, as files that open in a spreadsheet. Then close the account: it goes read-only straight away and everything in it — every member, every sign-in, every file and every backup of it — is deleted 30 days later. You can change your mind during those 30 days.
Do we need to buy a tablet?
Only if you have not got one. Any 10-inch Android tablet or iPad that opens a web page will do, and so will a laptop or an old phone while you are deciding. For the door itself we would put a kiosk browser on it locked to the one page, so nobody can wander off to YouTube.
Will this price change?
It may, for gyms who join later, and it may for gyms already on it. What the terms commit us to is notice: at least 30 days by email before any price change, and on a yearly subscription it cannot take effect before your next renewal, so you can cancel first and pay nothing more. We would rather tell you that than promise a price for ever on a web page and then write something different into the contract.
